Tama is a person deeply attached to his roots. Triumph Of Time, his debut album, plays heavily with the vibrant rhythms associated with his Maori heritage since he is an indigenous New Zealander. Though he is now a New York transplant, Tama's music still reflects the earthy sound he grew up with, layering modern poetry on top of the beats.
