The innovative Philly crew known as The Roots is about to add to the summer heat with the hottest release of their decade-plus career. Their new album The Tipping Point shows where the band is coming from and where the hip-hop game is headed. Lead by the talented drummer/charismatic musical conductor ?uestlove, The Roots are making next level hip-hop with funky instrumental music backing the fierce rap flows of Black Thought. As usual, The Roots are getting some help from their friends all of whom are insanely talented themselves. Listen for appearances >from rap's lady-in-waiting Jean Grae, soul singer Martin Luther, Devin the Dude, guitarist Captain Kirk Douglas and the inimitable comedian Dave Chappelle.
The single "Don't Say Nuthin'" is already making (heat) waves as one of the summer's anthems, blaring from car stereos and boomboxes everywhere. "Stay Cool" is the track that's going to get everyone through the humidity of August without a doubt. And if that wasn't good enough we are also offering fans a chance to win a 6-CD set discography of Philly's finest crew spanning from Do You Want More?!!!??! to The Tipping Point.
