Now in its 7th release, the Brazilectro series continues to raise the bar for compiling a first-class set of authentic Brazilian songs and those inspired by Brazilian music.
With six releases under its belt, Brazilectro Session 7 builds upon the success of its previous releases by infusing Brazilian rhythms with contemporary club culture and the latest latin, house, lounge, nu-jazz and electronica styles of music. This methodology and desire to compile the best sounds the world has to offer, has made Brazilectro a one-of-a-kind collection. In total, 24 catchy club filler and sweet promises produced exclusively for Brazilectro or are only available on 12-inch, romp around on this double CD.
Filled with variety, but unified in an extremely lithe and organic sequence, listening to Brazilectro Session 7 resembles being a civil servant in time and space, since one fancies sitting under the sugar loaf in the pulsing South American metropolis Rio de Janeiro. There we meet up with the new Brazilian voice Katja B, who has a tingling rendezvous with Mo'Horizons, or we get spoiled by Gabin and the great dame of vocal jazz, Dee Dee Bridgewater, with their number "Into My Soul". Or we dreamily swing to the cover version of the Elia Kazan classic "Feeling Good." This is however only a smattering of the delicacies contained on Brazilectro Session 7, with exclusive tracks and
previously unreleased euphonious jewels from Victor Davies, Attic Tree, Emo, Soulsurfer, The Non Material as well as new songs by Intuit, Juca Chaves, Phuturistix and The JuJu Orchestra. Whether it is on the beach, in a club, or at home with a cold Caipirinha in hand, the Brazilectro gourmet awaits.
"'Brazilectro 7' once again supplies a first-class set of authentic Brazilian songs and those inspired by Brazilian music, as well as classics and contemporary constructions." — Soulseduction.com
