Giant Step’s 35th Anniversary Celebration at SummerStage in Central Park
Wednesday, July 23, 2025 | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, community, and history as we celebrate 35 years of Giant Step. Taking the stage will be the legendary Cymande, the iconic Asha Puthli, rising star Zacchae'us Paul, and a DJ set from K.Tea.

Over the past 35 years, Giant Step has evolved from a groundbreaking underground club in New York, introducing U.S. audiences to artists like Jamiroquai, Massive Attack, and The Roots, to a visionary record label releasing music from acts like Nuyorican Soul and Ron Trent, and on to an award-winning creative agency working with artists like Amy Winehouse and Janelle Monáe, and global brands including Samsung, Marriott, and Intel.

Music still remains our heartbeat, and SummerStage has been central to our journey. Over the years, we’ve produced some of our most iconic shows there, featuring unforgettable performances from Femi Kuti, Shuggie Otis, Roy Ayers, Seun Kuti, Raphael Saadiq, Little Dragon, Q-Tip, Gilles Peterson, Hiatus Kaiyote, and many more.

This show is free and open to the public, we expect to hit capacity.
