Giant Step Celebrates the Launch of “Night People” by Mark Ronson

Last week we had the honor of celebrating the launch of Mark Ronson’s new book, Night People: How to Be a DJ in '90s New York City.

The book tells the story of Mark’s trials and tribulations as an up-and-coming DJ in 1990s clubland New York, capturing the energy of the era—the clubs, the music, the DJs, and the unforgettable characters who defined the scene.

Giant Step had the pleasure of producing the book release party at the Artspace at the PUBLIC Hotel. The evening brought together the who’s who of New York nightlife, alongside musicians and cultural icons including Dua Lipa and Chris Rock.

We’re proud that Giant Step is part of Mark’s story, as he highlights our place in the fabric of 90s New York club culture within the book itself.

It was a night to remember, celebrating both the past and the enduring influence of a truly formative era in music.
